Nizamabad: A Haj training camp for pilgrims undertaking the Haj pilgrimage this year was organised on Tuesday by the Nizamabad District Haj Society at the Nizam Palace Function Hall on Bodhan Road. Haj pilgrims from across the district attended the programme in large numbers and received comprehensive training.

The camp was inaugurated by Mohammed Ali Shabbir, advisor to the government for SC, ST, BC and Minority Welfare Departments, who attended as the chief guest. Waqf Board chairman Khusro Pasha was also present and conveyed his best wishes to the pilgrims.

Addressing the gathering, Mohammed Ali Shabbir assured that the Congress government would continue to stand by Haj pilgrims. He said it was the government’s objective to provide all necessary facilities to pilgrims travelling from Telangana and added that special arrangements, assistance services and support systems would also be made available in Makkah.

Religious scholars provided detailed guidance on the religious rules and rituals of Haj, procedures to be followed, precautions to be taken during the pilgrimage, and aspects related to travel, accommodation, transportation and other logistics. They also explained possible challenges during the journey and the measures required to address them.

Special arrangements were made for women Haj pilgrims, including separate seating and dedicated guidance sessions. Pilgrims actively interacted with the scholars and organisers, raising their doubts and clarifying queries.

Several pilgrims said the training camp would be extremely helpful in performing the Haj pilgrimage in a proper, devotional and safe manner.

Haj committee members, district leaders, officials and a large number of pilgrims participated in the programme.
