HYDERABAD: Several engineering graduates from JNTU-affiliated colleges say delays in receiving provisional certificates (PC) and consolidated marks memos (CMM) are leaving them anxious and unable to proceed with job applications or higher studies. Students allege that despite fulfilling all academic requirements, it takes up to ten days to secure documents that should be issued much faster.

According to recent BTech graduates, the problem lies in how the university’s examination branch manages certificate printing. “Even after we become eligible, the system waits for us to apply before the certificate is printed. That means we’re stuck for a week or more, which can cost us an admission deadline or a job interview,” said R. Mahima, a graduate.

Another student, Durga Prasad, noted that many recruitment or scholarship processes demand immediate document uploads. “Some students miss out simply because they can’t provide the PC or CMM on time. In some cases, it’s not just a delay, it’s a lost future,” he pointed out.

Students argue that certificates should be printed as soon as eligibility is confirmed so they can be issued immediately upon application. “We are not asking for shortcuts or favours, just a timely, systematised process,” Prasad added.
