Govt Jr College Principal Suspended for Harassing Jr Lecturers
TGBIE officials conducted an inquiry into the allegations
NIZAMABAD: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has suspended the in-charge principal of the Government Junior College, Nizam, in Yellareddy of Kamareddy district, following complaints of harassment made by several junior lecturers.
Acting on the complaints, TGBIE officials conducted an inquiry into the allegations. Based on the findings, TGBIE Regional Joint Director Ajmera Gopal issued the suspension orders on Saturday.
Nizam, who serves as a junior lecturer in Hindi, had been working as the in-charge principal of the Government Junior College in Yellareddy.
2 Teachers Dismissed For Sexually Harassing Inter Students
NIZAMABAD: Two contract teachers have been dismissed from service following allegations of sexual harassment of Intermediate girl students at the Model School in Kottabad village of Banswada mandal in Kamareddy district.
According to officials, the students lodged complaint by calling 1098 child helpline and alleged that the two teachers, identified as Pawan and Gopal, had been sexually harassing them. Unable to endure the alleged harassment, the students also submitted complaints to higher authorities.
Following the complaints, officials from the education department, under the supervision of the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), conducted an inquiry. The investigation reportedly found the allegations to be true.
Based on the inquiry findings, district educational officer (DEO) Mallikarjun issued orders permanently terminating both teachers from service.
Meanwhile, the school's principal, Kamal Kishore, lodged a complaint with the police. A case was registered against the two teachers, and an investigation was underway.
