Govt. Drops Proposal to Construct Grade Separators at Wipro Junction

Hyderabad:The government has dropped a proposal to construct grade separators at Wipro junction and the Rs 158 crore meant for the project will be utilised to build a two-lane unidirectional structural steel flyover from Banjara Hills Road No. 3 to GVK Mall (Road No. 1, Banjara Hills).

The municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) department has accorded permission for the revised plan under the Hyderabad City Integrated Traffic Infrastructure (H-CITI) Package-I.

Following this, the GHMC has been granted permission to invite tenders for steel bridge under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode.

The GHMC will commence acquisition of land/properties, shifting of utilities, etc., The revised H-CITI Package-I has been approved at an estimated cost of Rs 368 crore within the overall outlay of `5,942 crore for all the projects under the mega plan.
