Godrej to Invest ₹150 Crore to Expand Its Dairy Plant
The company operates multiple dairy processing centres across southern India, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Hyderabad: The Godrej Group has announced its plans to expand the capacity of its dairy plant in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs.150 crore. As part of this investment plan, Godrej Jersey will build a plant at its 40-acre site to process value-added products like curd, buttermilk, and flavored milk.
IT and industries minister D. Sridhar Babu, along with revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, met Nadir Godrej, the chairman and managing director of Godrej Industries. at the WEF 2026 event in Davos on Thursday.
The meeting focused on a range of topics including potential of AI integration in oil palm agriculture, expansion of the company's Creamline Dairy plant in Hyderabad with an investment of 150 crore. The dairy processing unit is expected to create over 300 direct jobs within three years, in addition to indirect employment across allied sectors such as logistics, procurement and agriculture services.

The government asked the company to explore its big infra projects in housing in residential zones of the upcoming Bharat Future City. Both the delegations agreed that it will be a great value addition to the government as well as for the company to build the social infrastructure in the Future City. Minister Sridhar Babu welcomed Godrej to visit Hyderabad and further the relationship and take the proposals forward.
Godrej Agrovet had earlier announced a Rs.300-crore Integrated Oil Palm Complex in Khammam district, which includes a crude palm oil mill, an R&D centre, and provisions for a future refinery.
