GHMC Town Planning Wing Clears Illegal Encroachments at Gaganpahad to Katedan Stretch

 Hyderabad: The GHMC town planning wing on Saturday removed illegal encroachments on footpaths and roads on the stretch from Gagan Pahad to Katedan. Officials said nearly 70 illegal structures were removed using two bulldozers under police cover.

GHMC Rajendranagar deputy commissioner Ravi Kumar stated “Under Operation ROPE, we carried drive to clear illegal structures obstructing pedestrian movement and causing traffic congestion.”

He said demolitions were being carried out over the past few weeks in Rajendranagar to ensure free traffic flow and for road widening. “We are repeatedly urging the public and shopkeepers not to encroach on footpaths and roads, which causes inconvenience for everyone,” he added.
