GHMC to Launch 10-Day Special Monsoon Drive for Waste Removal and Road Repairs

Hyderabad:The GHMC said it would conduct a special monsoon drive from August 11 to 21, focusing on removal of legacy waste, debris and green waste, desilting of drains, and repair of potholes and catch pits.

Operations will commence at 6 am daily, with field officers required to report attendance on the wireless set. The detailed circle-wise and ward-wise schedule has been issued to officials, the GHMC said.

The drive will also include installation of Rain Water Harvesting systems, surveys of non-residential buildings, cleaning of parks, and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities on 4-way waste segregation.
