GHMC Opens Mallepally Lighthouse Centre for Free Career Training

Hyderabad:The GHMC on Friday launched the Mallepally Lighthouse Centre to provide free career guidance and skill development programme to help young people improve their chances of employment or start their own business.

Located at Moazzamjahi market, Bazaar Ghat, the centre is part of a larger effort to prioritise skill development and job creation in the city. GHMC, in partnership with the Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF), is offering specialised training courses aimed at improving job prospects.

According to a statement, since the first Lighthouse Centre opened in Chandanagar in 2023, over 1,300 young people have been trained, and more than 500 have secured jobs in the private sector or started their own ventures. The initiative is supported by UBS through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, ensuring that training remains free for all participants.
