GHMC Collects ₹900.93 Crore via Early Bird Property Tax Scheme

Hyderabad:The GHMC collected `900.93 crore under the early bird property tax scheme that ended on April 30, according to updated figures, marking an 8.38 per cent increase from last year’s collection of Rs 831.23 crore.

According to GHMC officials, some online payments processed after midnight on April 30 were updated later by payment gateways, contributing to the final figure.

The 2025–26 collection also surpassed the Rs 785.94 crore raised under the scheme in 2022–23. This year, 7,93,552 property owners availed of the early bird offer, compared to 7,43,048 in the previous year—an increase of 50,504 beneficiaries. The scheme, which offered a 5 per cent rebate for early payment of property tax, was open from April 1 to 30.
