Foreign Policy Conference Held at Government Degree College for Women

Hyderabad: India’s evolving foreign policy and the challenges posed by changing global geopolitical dynamics came under discussion at a national conference organised by the department of political science, Government Degree College for Women, Hussaini Alam, Hyderabad in collaboration with the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE).

Prof. Upendra Choudhary of Aligarh Muslim University spoke on global foreign policy challenges and the importance of civilisational international relations. Prof. Balakista Reddy, chairman, TGCHE, discussed the relevance of the conference theme and emerging courses in higher education.

Dr Nivedita Ray of ICWA, Prof. Afroz Alam of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (Manuu), Prof. Krishna Kumar of Osmania University and Dr K. Bhaskar of Government Degree College, Nayapul, shared their perspectives on international relations and India’s foreign policy.

Three panel discussions examined recent trends and challenges in India’s foreign policy. During the valedictory session, Prof. V. Srilatha of Osmania University and Dr. Islamuddin Mujahed addressed participants on different aspects of the subject.

The conference, chaired by Principal Prof. Appiya Chinnamma, was attended by research scholars, delegates from higher educational institutions across India and students.
