Hyderabad: The food safety officials found expired besan flour apart from food articles worth Rs.21,893 for violating labeling regulations at Arambham in Madhapur.

The officials also found that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license was not displayed prominently and the refrigerators were not maintained properly with food waste stored in it. The kitchen found to be congested and cannot facilitate proper cleaning.

Food articles worth Rs. 21,893 that were found in violation of labelling regulations, were seized while one kg expired besan was also seized.

Food articles in the refrigerator were covered but not labeled and the FIFO was not properly maintained as food articles were found to be haphazardly arranged in the storage and no gap between the wall and the storage racks was maintained, according to officials.

Some food articles, which were kept in trays, were found to be stored on ground while the food and non-food articles found to be stored together, they added.
