Fire Breaks Out at Plywood Godown, No Casualties

Fire personnel immediately took up firefighting operations and brought the blaze under control.

Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out at a plywood wastage storage godown at BNK Colony in Tadbund in the early hours of Sunday, triggering a swift response from the fire department.

Fire tenders from the Chandulal Baradari Fire Station, along with a water bowser from Rajendranagar and a water tender from Moghalpura Fire Station, were rushed to the spot. Fire personnel immediately took up firefighting operations and brought the blaze under control.

Officials said the fire was confined to waste plywood material stored in the godown. The fire was completely extinguished by 1 pm. Fortunately, no one was present at the premises at the time of the incident and no casualties were reported, though the stored material was gutted in the blaze.

District Fire Officer (DFO) Vajje Bhanu Pratap said the fire call was received at 4.10 am and firefighters worked for several hours to douse the flames.
