Teacher Throws Tiffin Box, Injures LKG Student
Hyderabad: An LKG student was hospitalised on Wednesday after a teacher allegedly struck him with a metal tiffin box during class at a primary school in Saidabad. The incident left the child bleeding from a head wound, necessitating immediate medical attention and police intervention.
The child’s parents were called to the school with the explanation that he had been injured while playing with a classmate. Upon arrival, they found their son’s scalp lacerated and his shirt soaked in blood. School authorities initially claimed the injury occurred accidentally during a scuffle with another student. However, the family reports that their son told them a teacher had hit him in anger.
Doctors at a nearby hospital confirmed the wound required three stitches, and the child is now recovering at home. Seeking clarity, the parents requested access to the classroom’s CCTV footage, but the school refused to release it. The discrepancy between the school’s account and the child’s statement deepened the family’s concerns that the incident is being downplayed.
