Hyderabad: The RGIA Shamshabad police arrested a man posing as a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer after being found in police uniform and moving suspiciously on the premises at the airport.

According to the police, the suspect identified as M. Balakrishna from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh was arrested after being identified by the officials and when asked for his official ID he failed to produce it.

Officials inquired with the headquarters and found that he was an imposter. They handed him to RGIA police for further investigation.

During investigation, Balakrishna revealed that he posted his pictures in police uniform and trapped over 60 young women under the pretext of marriage through matrimonial sites.

The case is under investigation. "We are verifying his criminal background," a police officer disclosed.
