Hyderabad:The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has raised concerns over delays in the NEET SS 2025 counselling process, citing uncertainty and impact on candidates.

In a letter to the director of the Medical Counselling Committee, the association said that while the first round of counselling was completed, the second round, initially scheduled for April 7, was postponed to May 4 and later to July 28 due to pending cases in the Supreme Court.

FAIMA said the delay has caused distress among candidates, particularly those currently unemployed and facing financial strain. It said the postponement has disrupted schedules and affected career progression. The association also noted that several senior resident doctors are working under increased pressure, linking the delay to workforce constraints.

FAIMA said the prolonged uncertainty is affecting both academic progression and availability of medical personnel, and urged the Medical Counselling Committee to expedite resolution of the issue and take steps to minimise disruption to medical education and healthcare services.
