HYDERABAD: Filling and submitting the voter enumeration form, part of the special intensive revision (SIR) exercise, and handing it over to the booth level officer (BLO) is mandatory. Failure to do so will result in names not appearing in the draft electoral roll. House‑to‑house visits by BLOs will commence on June 25 and continue till July 24. If a name is missing in the draft rolls, there is a chance it will be excluded from the final roll as well.

“Filling the enumeration form is mandatory. Not even one document or address proof needs to be submitted while handing over the form to the BLO,” said GHMC commissioner and Hyderabad district electoral officer (DEO) R.V. Karnan at a press meet on Monday.

The BLOs will carry forms already containing the elector’s photograph. Electors must paste a recent photograph, fill details and sign a declaration. BLOs will distribute forms with pre‑printed details of existing electors and guide households in filling them.

As per norms, if a house is locked during enumeration, BLOs should slip the forms inside and make at least three visits to collect them. BLOs will retain one copy and hand another to the elector as acknowledgment. Forms will be uploaded through the BLO/ECI Net mobile application.

Existing electors can also download pre‑filled forms and upload completed forms and documents online via www.voters.eci.in or the ECI App. If a form is uploaded online, BLOs will verify it during their household visit. “The list of electors whose names are not in the draft electoral roll will also be displayed on the website and with the electoral registration officers (EROs),” Karnan said.

A total of 10,901 booth level agents (BLAs) nominated by recognised national and state political parties are part of the exercise. They will assist BLOs and accompany them to households, with each BLA allowed to assist 50 applications daily.

Enumeration Forms can be signed by electors themselves or by family members. Form‑6 and Form‑8 will be supplied to new voters along with declaration forms for inclusion in the voters list. Form‑6 is for new enrolment, while Form‑8 is for shifting residence or correcting entries. Stickers will be pasted on buildings where the process has been completed.
