End Dynasty Politics In Nalgonda: BJP chief
BJP workers to intensify efforts ahead of the local elections and said Telangana’s people are politically aware and ready for change: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao
HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao, during his maiden tour of Nalgonda and Suryapet districts, vowed to end the entrenched dynasty politics in Nalgonda, long regarded as a land of political movements and sacrifices. Addressing party workers, he called for readiness to launch an agitation against the Congress government, accusing it of betraying farmers, students and the public with unfulfilled promises. He claimed that people now regret voting for the Congress, which, he said, lured them with hollow assurances.
The BJP, he declared, would contest all local body elections independently — from village level to ZPTC — to build a stronger grassroots presence. Alleging that ration cards and welfare benefits were being unfairly distributed among the Congress workers, he said genuine beneficiaries were being ignored. Welfare schemes, he added, had failed under both the Congress and the previous BRS regime.
Reiterating the BJP’s commitment to fight for farmers, unemployed youth, women and students, he highlighted issues such as unpaid fee reimbursements and delayed salaries. He accused both Congress and BRS of looting Telangana’s resources and averred that only the BJP could ensure the state’s true development. He said only the “double-engine” model of governance, pairing the Modi-led Centre with a future BJP-led government in Telangana, could deliver for the state.
Dismissing rumours of a urea shortage, Ramchander Rao said the Centre had supplied more than the required quantity and blamed the state for mismanagement and black-market diversion. He also slammed the Congress’s attempt to include Muslim minorities under BC quotas, terming it vote-bank politics, and urged the BC community to oppose religion-based reservations, citing Supreme Court rulings.
He urged BJP workers to intensify efforts ahead of the local elections and said Telangana’s people are politically aware and ready for change. He also inaugurated the BJP’s district office in Suryapet. Senior leaders, including Nalgonda district BJP president Nagam Varshat Reddy, MLC Anji Reddy and former MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, attended. Party leader G. Manohar Reddy described Ramchander Rao as a “silent missile” poised to take on the Congress government.
