Emirates Eyes A380 Services From Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Emirates Airline on Saturday expressed willingness to introduce A380 services from Hyderabad during a meeting with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Mohammed Sarhan, vice president (India) of Emirates, called on the Chief Minister as the airline completes 25 years of operations in Hyderabad.
During the meeting, Sarhan conveyed the airline’s interest in operating A380 services from the city. The Chief Minister welcomed the proposal and urged the airline to increase flight services from Hyderabad.
Referring to the proposed airports at Warangal and Adilabad, he requested Emirates to explore extending maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations to these locations. He said the state government would provide necessary support for aviation operations.
The Chief Minister also asked the airline to support training programmes for athletes at the recently launched Gachibowli Sports University. Sarhan responded positively to the proposals.
