Eight Telangana Natives Safely Return from J&K
Eight Telangana natives, including students from a university in Jalandhar, safely reached Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi on Saturday after being stranded in Jammu and Kashmir due to escalating tensions along the Indo-Pak border.

Meanwhile, the 24x7 control room, accessible via 011-23380556, has received around 30 distress calls from residents stuck in or near conflict zones.
Following the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the government had an swift initiative to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens. Telangana Bhavan in Delhi was designated as the nodal coordination centre for rescue and relief efforts.
Gaurav Uppal, resident commissioner at Telangana Bhavan, interacted with the returnees and ensured that all necessary facilities were provided. "We have arranged accommodation, food, and onward transportation for all those arriving from affected areas. The government is committed to ensuring the safety of every Telangana citizen," Uppal stated.
Upon receiving distress calls at the control room, Telangana Bhavan officials said arrangements were made to provide free meals for all returnees from border regions, lodging facilities within the Bhavan and alternative accommodations as needed, a medical camp providing immediate health check-ups and care and transport assistance to airports and railway stations for safe onward journey.
Uppal said the Bhavan is also working in close coordination with district administrations in the border regions and the Government of India to facilitate rescue operations and keep updated on evolving safety protocols. Uppal, who inspected the arrangements, said "No effort is being spared in ensuring their comfort and safety."
