Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday said that education was the most powerful weapon to eliminate deeply-rooted social inequalities in society. Providing education that enriched with skills as well as human values is the collective objective of the Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he said.

As part of this vision, works on the Skill University in Bharat Future City were progressing at a rapid pace, Bhatti said, speaking at the golden jubilee celebrations organised by Loyola Educational Institutions at Alwal in Medchal district.

He added that the state government was transforming 100 ITIs into advanced technology centres, which will not only create employment opportunities for the youth but also contribute to the growth of the State’s GDP.

With the objective of eradicating social inequalities, Bhatti said that the government was constructing Young India Integrated Residential Schools, where students from all sections of society could study together with international standards.

Each school was being built at a cost of `200 crore over an area of 25 acres with state-of-the-art facilities. He informed that approvals had been given for the construction of 100 such schools and that works were progressing swiftly.

Bhatti stated that meaningful change in societal systems and institutions was possible only through education, a fact that has become even clearer through the Social, Economic, Educational, Employment, Political and Caste survey conducted by the state government. For long-term development and leadership, deep human capital is the essential foundation, he said, adding that a close study of leading nations clearly proves this.
