Edn Secretary Yogita Rana Made Surprise Checks In Residential Schools
Nizamabad: Secretary to the Education Department Dr Yogita Rana warned that serious action will be initiated on officials if they failed to provide nutritious food to the students in residential educational institutions. Social welfare and other residential institutions must follow the menu, she said. Special care should be taken on inmates of residential educational institutions, she said.
Yogita Rana made a surprise inspection of the social welfare residential school and college at Dharmaram (B) village in Dichpally mandal on Thursday. She observed the premises of the institution over sanitation and reviewed the teaching methods. She inquired about toilets, washrooms hostel building maintenance, registers, classes and other issues.
The education secretary directed the officials to conduct regular special classes for the students in the morning and evening times. She said that physical exercise facilities should be provided to the inmates of residential educational institutions. She inspected the laboratories and CC cameras in the school and college premises.
District intermediate education officer Tirumalapudi Ravi Kumar, district education officer P. Ashok, college principal, mandal education officer, lecturers and students were present. Education secretary Dr Yogita Rana had lunch with the students of the residential school.
Meanwhile, district junior colleges principals association president Chinnaiah and lecturers association president Narsaiah handed over note books to the education secretary Dr Yogita Rana for distribution to students.
