Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials arrested a man who was involved in fraud targeting American citizens. The arrested person Kumar set up a fake call center based in Hyderabad and used it to call Americans and commit fraud.
The ED has launched an investigation into the transactions and foreign fund transfers related to this case registered in Madhapur in 2023. The ED has found that Kumar’s gang, which had threatened many people in America, had collected crores of rupees and committed money laundering.
In this context, ED officials who conducted searches in Hyderabad this morning arrested Kumar.
