Eatery in Hi Tech City Installs Live Kitchen Screen after Food Safety Inspection
In its June food safety inspection report, the CMC’s food safety teams inspected 39 eateries across Cyberabad with restaurants registering hygiene scores ranging from 18 per cent to 94 per cent
Hyderabad: Following the recent food safety inspection, the Mehfil restaurant at Hi Tech City in Madhapur has installed live kitchen display screens to provide customers with visibility into food preparation activities.
As part of routine food safety inspections in its limits, the Cyberabad Food Corporation (CMC) food safety team inspected the restaurant on June 27, 2026 and found inadequate kitchen space, wet floors and food accumulation and unhygienic food grading practices.
Medical fitness certificates of food handlers were not produced. Roomali rotis were prepared in a construction area and it was stopped immediately. The team initiated an improvement notice and asked the staff to take corrective measures. It gave 68 out of 102 marks as part of hygiene assessment.
Officials said the CMC encourages all Food Business Operators (FBOs) to continuously strengthen food safety and hygiene practices and adopt measures that enhance transparency and consumer confidence.

During the inspections, the teams mainly focused on hygiene standards, food handling, pest control, storage conditions, labeling and FSSAI compliance. The CMC has also advised the food establishments to maintain hygiene standards and comply with food safety regulations or else necessary action would be initiated as per law.
It said that it will continue regular inspections across Cyberabad. In the report, the CMC said that seven eateries registered hygiene scores ranging between 94 per cent and 92 per cent while half a dozen restaurants registered hygiene scores ranging from 86 per cent to 82 per cent.
Three eateries registered low scores ranging between 18 per cent and 35 per cent. The teams asked the staff to take up corrective measures at the eateries after observing unhygienic conditions. Improvement notices were also recommended for several eateries for violating safety norms.
