HYDERABAD: The regional narcotics control cell of the EAGLE Force arrested four alleged drug peddlers in separate operations at Khammam and Godavarikhani, seizing 7.150 kg of ganja worth ₹3.57 lakh.

At Khammam, officials arrested Pangi Ragupathi, a labourer, and his wife Pangi Saabi, while they were allegedly bringing the narcotic from Odisha. Six kg of ganja worth ₹3 lakh was seized from their possession. They were to deliver the contraband to one Mahesh Vaman Rao of Mailardevpally in Rajendranagar, who is absconding, said Sandeep Shandilya, director, TG-EAGLE Force.

At the Godavarikhani bus stand, the RNCC-Karimnagar police arrested Bethi Tharun of Pragathi Colony, Godavarikhani, and Panthangi Anil, a delivery executive from Manakondur in Karimnagar district and seized 1.150 kg of ganja worth ₹57,500 from them. They were procuring ganja from an unidentified person near Nagpur railway station.

Appealing to the public, the Eagle force urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any information related to drug peddling, consumption or trafficking.
