Dutch Woman Harassed In Gachibowli

HYDERABAD: A Dutch woman who had come to India to meet her boyfriend was sexually harassed by his roommate under Gachibowli police station limits and lodged a complaint with the Netherlands Embassy.
The victim, a 36‑year‑old woman from the Netherlands, came to India on March 5 to meet her boyfriend Prajay Nagdev, who lives in Kondapur, Gachibowli police said.
The victim stayed there with Prajay, who was residing in the Asian Sun City apartment, until March 23, police said.
Prajay’s friend Aditya Anand, a software employee, also lives in the same flat. Aditya Anand often misbehaved with her when Prajay was away.
On March 17, the accused Anand tried to sexually assault her while she was alone. When she told her boyfriend about this, he reprimanded Aditya; however, later, the victim left for the Netherlands, police sources disclosed.
Even after she returned home, Aditya continued to call her frequently and harass her.
Due to this, the victim approached the Netherlands Embassy and also lodged a complaint at the Gachibowli police station on July 23, police said.
The police have registered a case in this regard and are searching for the absconding accused, Anil Kumar, sub‑inspector of Gachibowli disclosed.
