Drunk Husband Arrested for Killing Wife

Hyderabad: Gosai Kondanna, who allegedly strangled his wife when she objected to his habitual drinking, was arrested in Nandavaram mandal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. The victim was his wife, Aruna. The couple is survived by two sons, said J. Venkat, DI of Filmnagar police station.

Police said that on Monday, unable to bear the harassment, Aruna pretended to be ready to die by suicide. Kondanna, in a drunken state, allegedly strangled her. After the incident, Kondanna fled to his native village in Kurnool. A special team from Filmnagar police arrested him and brought him back to the city.
