Dr. N. Vani Appointed As Telangana Director Of Medical Education

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has appointed Dr. N. Vani,  currently the Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital, as the Director of Medical Education (DME). She succeeds Dr. A. Narendra Kumar, who is retiring from service on 31.07.2026. The government issued GO Rt. No. 318 to this effect.

Dr. Vani previously served as the in-charge DME of Telangana in February 2024 while she was the Principal of Government Medical College, Sangareddy. She stepped down from the post in January 2025 when regular appointments were made, and was later posted as the Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital. The appointment comes as part of administrative reshuffles in the state’s medical and health education department.
