Doorstep Meeseva Services Rolled Out Across Telangana

HYDERABAD: Telangana residents can now book select MeeSeva services for delivery at their doorstep through the 1100 toll-free number or the MeeSeva portal. Citizens can choose a slot and receive services at home, including birth and death certificates, income, caste and residence certificates, and copies of Encumbrance Certificates. Select police departments and IGRS services are also part of the facility.
More than 70 MeeSeva agents and VLEs have been specially trained to provide the doorstep services, according to IT minister D. Sridhar Babu who launched the service on Wednesday. He said the service would begin in the CURE region before being extended statewide.
The minister also said the government was introducing technology-driven reforms to improve transparency, accountability and the delivery of public services. Telangana was working to combine technology with governance and become a “role model in digital governance” by taking citizen services directly to people’s doorsteps, he said, adding that the government wanted technology to make public services more accessible, transparent and accountable to citizens.
ITE&C joint secretary Anudeep Durishetty, MeeSeva commissioner Ravi Kiran and TGTS managing director Satyanarayana Reddy were among those who attended the programme.
