Don’t Fall Prey to Anti-social Forces: SP Tells Guthi Koyas

Warangal: District superintendent of police Shabarish stated that some anti-social forces were taking away the lives of innocent Adivasi people by luring them with their mesmerizing talk for their own interests. During a community contact program held at Budidha Gadda present under Pasra Mandal in Mulugu district on Thursday, the SP cautioned the aboriginals against falling prey to such forces by giving shelter to them.
The SP visited the Guthi Koya tribe at the Budidha Gadda, who were living in deep forest regions away from city life without even having electricity and proper road facilities. When he interacted with them, they told him that they were facing a major problem with the lack of drinking water facilities in their area and medicines for seasonal health problems.
Responding immediately, Shabarish promised to take immediate steps to provide drinking water facilities and medicines for malaria and cholera that prevail in the rainy season. He ordered the circle inspectors and sub-inspectors to take the initiative immediately to provide the facilities along with solar lamps and other essential requirements for the tribal people.
The officer said that some anti-social forces were misusing the innocent tribal people for their personal gains.
If they find any new or suspicious persons moving in their surroundings and carrying out any illegal and anti-social activities, they must inform the police officials immediately. But should not encourage them by giving shelter to them and inviting problems, he warned.
Later, the SP distributed chocolates to the children of the Guthi Koya tribe and assured them that he would provide a Tele-vision set along with an online connection so that they could read and learn.
The Mulugu Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravinder, Sub-Inspector Kamalakar, Reserve SI Rakesh, and police personnel of the special party force were present along with others.
