Hyderabad: The Telangana Civil Supplies Corporation is continuously monitoring to ensure that domestic consumers do not face any inconvenience in gas supply.

Following directions from the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the State Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, officials are keeping strict surveillance and conducting surprise inspections against those illegally storing or diverting gas cylinders.

To ensure that the supply process of domestic cylinders is carried out on time as per regulations, bookings and deliveries are being checked daily with respective agencies through command control.

In raids conducted over the past month, vigilance officials seized 5,079 domestic cylinders and another 70 small cylinders that were being illegally transported and stored. Their total value is Rs.1.5 crore.

In this connection, 2,089 cases were registered, and legal action has been initiated against the offenders.

The government has advised the public to report illegal storage, transportation, or delays in gas cylinder delivery by calling the toll-free number 1967 set up by the civil supplies corporation.
