2 Discoms Deliver Sankranti Greetings

Hyderabad: The staff of two power distribution companies (discoms) have launched a doorstep campaign delivering personalised New Year and Sankranti greetings to 83 lakh consumers, strengthening direct ties for better service.

TSSPDCL and TGNPDCL officials, acting on Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s directives, will hand over letters complete with consumer names and connection numbers to Gruha Jyothi and farm power users at their doorsteps.

The drive covers 52.82 lakh Gruha Jyothi beneficiaries and 30.04 lakh agricultural consumers. Officials hailed the initiative as a step towards transparent, efficient power delivery.

“This initiative builds trust through face-to-face engagement,” a statement from the power department said.
