 Hyderabad: With the rapid rise of online learning, educators must shift from merely identifying challenges to actively seeking digital solutions, said Osmania University Vice Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram. He emphasised that massive open online courses (MOOCs) and platforms like Swayam are critical in addressing faculty shortages and enhancing learning accessibility, urging teachers to embrace digital tools to keep up with evolving education trends.

Speaking at the valedictory session of a two-day workshop on ‘Embarking on the Digital Frontier – Tools for Enhancing MOOCs Experiences’, held here, Prof. Molugaram spoke about the importance of integrating technology into teaching methodologies. “The scarcity of quality teachers can be mitigated through digital interventions. Education is shifting, and faculty members must evolve with it,” he said.

Prof. J. B. Nadda, Director, CEC, New Delhi, commended Osmania University for its efforts in advancing digital education. He assured participants that further initiatives would be introduced to strengthen the use of MOOCs in higher education and praised their active engagement and constructive feedback.
