DGP C.V. Anand Visits Kothagudem, Heads to Khammam
Telangana DGP C.V. Anand said he has always believed that field visits are the backbone of effective administration.
Hyderabad: Director General of Police C.V. Anand on Monday night proceeded to Khammam district after participating in various official programmes in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
Khammam District Collector Shri Divakara, IAS, Khammam Police Commissioner Shri Sunil Dutt, IPS, and other senior district officials welcomed the DGP C.V. Anand.
Earlier in the day, the DGP inaugurated the newly constructed Manuguru Police Station and chaired the District Crime Review Meeting at the Bhadradri Kothagudem District Police Office.
During the meeting, C.V. Anand directed officers to intensify action against the cultivation and transportation of narcotic substances. He also instructed them to strengthen surveillance at bus stations, railway stations, and check posts with the support of Dog Squads.
Later, the DGP visited the 6th TSP Battalion and the SDRF Unit at Palvancha, where he inspected the barracks, training facilities, armoury, and welfare infrastructure. He also reviewed the SDRF's rescue equipment and assessed its disaster-response capabilities.
