Devotees Throng Venkateswara Temples on Vaikunta Ekadasi

Temples dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy were specially decorated for the occasion, and devotees thronged the shrines from the early hours to participate in the sacred rituals.

Nizamabad: Vaikunta Ekadasi was celebrated on a grand scale across Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts on Tuesday, with Lord Venkateswara temples drawing thousands of devotees.
Temples dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Swamy were specially decorated for the occasion, and devotees thronged the shrines from the early hours to participate in the sacred rituals.
At the Indur Tirumala Govinda Vanamala Kshetram in Narsingpally village, Uttara Dwara Darshan commenced in the early morning. The presiding deity was taken out in a palanquin procession through the mada streets, amid devotional chants.
Noted film producer Dil Raju, along with his family members, participated in the service. The temple’s chief trustee Narasimha Reddy, Vijaya Simha Reddy and family members, villagers of Narsingpally, and service volunteers including Narala Sudhakar also took part. Renowned musician Ramachary participated in the celebrations.
Vaikunta Ekadasi was also observed at the Uttara Tirupati temple in Ganastan, where Ganapati Sachidananda Swamy took part in the rituals. Large numbers of devotees offered prayers at the shrine.
Similar celebrations were held at the Apuroopa Venkateswara Swamy Temple on National Highway-65 between Armoor and Nizamabad, and at the Telangana Tirumala Temple in Birkur mandal, with devotees participating in large numbers.
