Uday Krishna Reddy Case: HC Seeks Details, Hearing Posted to Monday
DCP Lavanya visited the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) on Wednesday and initiated the investigation.
Hyderabad: The High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by IPS probationer Uday Krishna Reddy to Monday and directed the police to submit details of the case.
During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel requested the court to restrain the police from taking any further action against Uday Krishna Reddy, stating that he is still undergoing training. However, the High Court declined to grant the request.
In his petition, Uday Krishna Reddy sought to have the case quashed, alleging that it was registered based on false accusations.
The case, which was initially registered at the Attapur Police Station, was transferred to the Women Safety Wing by senior police officials.
Following the transfer, DCP Lavanya visited the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) on Wednesday and initiated the investigation. She went to the academy to record the statement of the trainee woman IPS officer who lodged the complaint against Uday Krishna Reddy.
