Daylight Burglary Shakes Parkal Town Residents
According to the complaint, the grocery shop owner’s family had gone to a monthly gathering and, on returning home, noticed that a rear window had been left open.
WARANGAL: A daylight burglary in the heart of Parkal town has caused concern among residents, with unidentified persons allegedly breaking into the house of a grocery shop owner near the municipal office and stealing around 12 tolas of gold jewellery and two pairs of silver anklets. The house owner, Mukku Prakash, lodged a complaint with the police.
According to the complaint, the grocery shop owner’s family had gone to a monthly gathering and, on returning home, noticed that a rear window had been left open. Suspecting that burglars had entered through the window, they alerted the police. Police reached the spot immediately, collected details and registered a case based on the complaint.
Police inspected the scene and began investigating the manner in which the theft was carried out. They are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed in the surrounding areas, police said. Local residents said around Rs 3,000 in cash had also been stolen from the same shop in the past.
Following the latest incident, some residents have expressed suspicion that the theft may have been committed by persons known to the family. However, police have not confirmed this possibility. Further details of the burglary are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
