Daljeet Singh Set to Lead HCA as Acting President After Arrests of Top Officials
Apex Council to discuss empowering members and urgent issues to keep the association functional
Hyderabad: In the wake of the arrests of HCA president A. Jagan Mohan Rao and treasurer C.J. Srinivasa Rao by the CID for alleged irregularities, the association has called an emergency meeting of its Apex Council to pick an interim leadership on Saturday.
The meeting, convened by Vice-President Daljeet Singh, aims to address the leadership vacuum and ensure the continued functioning of the association, according to sources
The emergency session was prompted by the recent developments that have disrupted the HCA’s operations. The primary agenda is to appoint Singh as acting president, in accordance with the association’s constitution. Additionally, the council will consider empowering existing members to oversee HCA activities. The emergency meeting will also take up any other urgent matters with the chair’s permission, sources said.
The current council members include: Sardar Daljeet Singh (vice-president), Tammidsetty Basavaraju (joint secretary), Sunil Agarwal (councillor), Dustakar Rajasekhar (CAG nominee/representative).
