Hyderabad: D Ashok has been appointed as Inspector of Jubilee Hills police station, which was in news for all wrong reasons till recently.
After much dilly-dallying, the police department has finalized the name of Ashok as two Inspectors, who worked earlier at the station were placed under suspension due to various reasons.
The previous inspector M Muttu Yadav has been suspended for alleged negligence in handling the case involving Ex- Minister Konda Surekha’s former OSD, N Sumanth.
In July, Muttu Yadav has been appointed as the Inspector of Jubilee Hills replacing U Srinivasulu Reddy, who was placed under suspension in connection with an alleged extortion and extra marital affair with a woman.
Three weeks after taking charge, the police department has placed Muttu Yadav under suspension for being negligent in registering a case. The action was taken following allegations that he acted negligently in the matter involving Surekha’s Ex-OSD Sumanth.
Senior officials found that the Inspector was negligent not only in registering an FIR against Sumanth but also in apprehending him.
