Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police seized as many as 150 e-cigarettes worth Rs.3 lakh.

These cigarettes were seized after conducting a raid at two shops in Madhapur. The police raided a shop Hi Tech City and another at Ayyappa Society and checked the premises only to find e-cigarettes.

According to police, selling e-cigarettes is entirely illegal in the country. Under the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, 2019 (PECA), the government enforces a complete nationwide ban on the production, manufacture, import, export, transport, sale, distribution, storage, and advertisement of electronic cigarettes and all related vaping products.
