Cyberabad CP Reviews Road Work at IIIT Junction
Officials push for timely completion while ensuring smooth traffic flow during construction
Hyderabad: Cyberabad commissioner of police, Dr M. Ramesh, on Tuesday inspected the ongoing road widening and flyover construction works on the IIIT junction–DLF corridor in Gachibowli, the city's busiest traffic stretch.
The commissioner, who reviewed the progress of the infrastructure work undertaken between Gachibowli police station and DLF junction, was accompanied by Serilingampally ACP Hanumantha Rao, Gachibowli Traffic SHO Suresh and officials from the civic maintenance corporation. He directed officials to ensure its completion within schedule.
Dr Ramesh emphasised the need to minimise inconvenience to the public while the construction works are in progress. He instructed officials to increase the traffic management measures, provide proper diversion and ensure smooth movement of vehicles in the affected areas.
According to the scale of the ongoing works, the commissioner suggested implementing a special traffic advisory for next three months. Appealing to motorists for cooperation, Dr Ramesh urged the public to follow traffic advisories and use alternative routes during the construction.
The commissioner expressed confidence that the completion of the road development and flyover would significantly ease the traffic issues in Gachibowli–DLF corridor, improving travel time, road safety, and overall connectivity for the public.
