Machinery Stolen From Closed Unit
Hyderabad: Theft of machinery was reported at a blade manufacturing unit that has been shut for some years, Jeedimetla police said on Sunday. The complaint was filed by a security supervisor on Friday after a guard noticed the machinery missing.
Police said they are awaiting details from the custodian regarding the value of the stolen equipment. Jeedimetla inspector G. Mallesh said no company representative has come forward to provide information.
The factory was seized two to three years ago after the owner allegedly failed to pay workers’ salaries and accumulated heavy debts. “Only after the custodian furnishes records will it be clear what exactly was stolen and the extent of the loss. We are not ruling out any suspicion including somebody from the staff,” the inspector said.

According to Vijayalakshmi’s complaint, the couple argued over house rent on December 17.
