Couple Killed, Daughter Critical in Jagtial Road Crash

Karimnagar: A celebratory trip ended in tragedy as a couple was killed on the spot in a road accident at Maruthi Nagar, near the Korutla-Metpally road in Jagtial district on Saturday. Their 15-year-old daughter survived the crash but is in critical condition and undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Kotagiri Mohan, 43, and his wife Kotagiri Lavanya, 40, residents of Manthani village in Armoor mandal of Nizamabad district. The family was returning home in their car after attending a function and visiting the Kondagattu temple when their vehicle collided head-on with a lorry.

The sudden deaths of the couple have cast a pall of gloom over Manthani village, with residents expressing shock and grief. Police reached the spot, registered a case and began an investigation. The bodies were shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination.
