Cops Identify Suspects In Two Murder Cases In Telangana

Hyderabad:Investigators of two murder incidents — one in Malakpet under Hyderabad police limits and the other in Kulcharam of Medak district — have identified a total of 25 suspects: five key suspects in the Malakpet case and 20 suspects in Kulcharam, for allegedly opening fire on the victims.

Sources said the Malakpet police had examined hundreds of CCTV footage clips from before and after the murder of CPI leader Ketawath Chandu Naik at Shalivahananagar Park in Malakpet and its surroundings. It was reported that the footage revealed the involvement of key suspects — Shiva, Munna, Basha, and Rajesh — along with another unidentified person.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South East Zone, S. Chaitanya Kumar, said that they had identified five suspects who played a key role in the murder. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are being verified in connection with the murder of the CPI leader. The suspects’ mobile numbers are being analysed to trace their tower locations and call data prior to committing the offence.

Similarly, the Medak police have also identified at least 20 suspects in connection with the murder of Medak District Congress SC Cell leader Marelli Anil. A few miscreants reportedly opened fire on Anil while he was returning to his residence from Hyderabad, at Variguntam village under Kulcharam police limits.

The police said they had collected leads in connection with the case and had identified at least 20 suspects. During further verification and investigation, the police will determine the final list of accused individuals in the case.
