Congress Stages Protest In Khammam Over Rahul Gandhi's Arrest, NEET Issue

Khammam: Congress leaders and workers staged protest rallies and a dharna in Khammam on Wednesday condemning the arrest of Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak.
State agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and District Congress Committee president Nuthi Satyanarayana Goud were among those who participated in the protest held at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar statue in Khammam.
Addressing the gathering, Tummala condemned Rahul Gandhi’s arrest, describing it as “undemocratic”. He criticised the Central government over the conduct of the NEET examination and questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained silent while students and unemployed youth were protesting in New Delhi.
The minister also condemned the alleged lathicharge on protesters and reiterated the Congress demand for the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
