Congress MLA Naini Accuses KCR Of Dividing Warangal For Political Gains
Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy accused KCR of dividing Warangal district for political gains, alleging the reorganisation harmed local youth and the region’s interests.
Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy on Saturday alleged that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had divided Warangal district unscientifically for political gains, causing injustice to its people. He was speaking at a protest organised by the Warangal West Congress to mark 10 years since the reorganisation of districts.
Congress workers took out a rally from the DCC Bhavan to Ashoka Junction, burnt an effigy of Chandrashekar Rao and staged a protest carrying black flags.
Naini alleged that the reorganisation had undermined Warangal’s historical significance and created difficulties for local youth in accessing employment opportunities and benefits linked to local status. He said the district, associated with the Kakatiya dynasty and historic landmarks such as Warangal Fort and the Thousand Pillar Temple, had been divided by prioritising political interests over administrative convenience.
He further alleged that Warangal’s development had been neglected while Siddipet was given priority, weakening the region’s political unity, which had been central to public movements.
Naini demanded that the BRS explain the losses Warangal had suffered due to the reorganisation instead of projecting it as an achievement.
He said the Congress would continue its fight to protect Warangal’s history, self-respect and the future of its youth.
