Nizamabad: Telangana AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan said the Congress is like a united family, with activists able to recognise party members across the country. She was speaking on Sunday during the second day of the Janahitha Padayatra programme in the Armoor and Nizamabad Rural Assembly constituencies.

Natarajan highlighted that the Congress is known for its spirit of sacrifice and compassion. “Congress has never divided people; it has always worked for their development and welfare,” she said, adding that the party’s core principles are “tyag (sacrifice), seva (service), and tapasya (penance).” She noted that the Bharat Jodo Yatra united the country and boosted the morale of Congress workers.

Natarajan also pointed out that Rahul Gandhi has promoted the Telangana Model nationwide. “Congress prioritises justice and the rights of the people,” she stated.

TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud emphasised the responsibility to secure victories for party candidates in upcoming local elections. “We have not compromised on positions for those loyal to the party. Although some new faces were appointed, thorough scrutiny ensured that our dedicated workers were reinstated,” he explained. He noted that 15 per cent of PCC executive positions were allocated to newcomers and returnees, while 85 per cent went to those who have consistently served the party.

Minister for panchayat raj and rural development D. Anasuya Seethakka urged leaders to work closely with the people. “Encouraging factional groups is unwise,” she said. “By setting aside egos and focusing on service, leaders will achieve strong results. Congress will always prioritise hard work and unity.”

Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, state government advisor Mohammad Ali Shabbir, MLAs P. Sudarshan Reddy, R. Bhupathi Reddy, Thota Laxmikanth Rao, MLC Balmuri Venkat, AICC secretary Sampath Kumar, Azmat Hussain, and others were also present.
