Congress Hits Out At KTR For “Street Drama”
At Gandhi Bhavan, Prabhakar said, "We are ready to answer any questions posed by anyone from the BRS. Discussions are meant to be held in the Assembly, where public representatives can engage meaningfully."
Hyderabad:Congress leaders on Tuesday criticised BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, accusing him of staging "dramas" on the streets in an attempt to gain cheap political mileage.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Congress working president T. Jagga Reddy and MLC Addanki Dayakar asked Rama Rao to refrain from such theatrics and engage in constructive debates in the Assembly.
At Gandhi Bhavan, Prabhakar said, "We are ready to answer any questions posed by anyone from the BRS. Discussions are meant to be held in the Assembly, where public representatives can engage meaningfully."
He said that Rama Rao could bring any issue to the Assembly for a debate. " Everything that happens in the Assembly gets recorded, making it the proper forum for such debates."
Jagga Reddy he was a party working president, as was Rama Rao. He said he was ready for a debate with Rama Rao at any issue and at any venue.
" We both are second bench students. We are not first bench students like the party president or Chief Minister. How can KTR, a second bench student, expect to have a debate with first bench student Revanth Reddy. Rama Rao should realise this difference," Jagga Reddy said.
"If KCR throws a challenge, Revanth Reddy will come," Jagga Reddy added.
MLC Addanki Dayakar also criticised Rama Rao's approach, calling it a "petty attempt" to seek attention. "Looking at Rama Rao’s actions, one can’t help but feel sorry for him. The Assembly is the place for discussions, not the streets," Dayakar stated.
He pointed out that while Rama Rao was busy with theatrics, the real political challenge lies in the Legislative Assembly, where issues concerning the people are debated.
