HYDERABAD: The Telangana BJP accused the Congress of “attempting to murder democracy” through misleading political slogans and programmes, with Telangana BJP spokesperson N.V. Subhash calling the party’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar a deceptive strategy designed to confuse the electorate.

He alleged that Congress had historically exploited Muslim voters through appeasement politics and was now attempting to manipulate public sentiment with the ‘vote chori’ slogan, aimed at casting doubt on the election process for political gains.

Subhash accused the Congress of harboring anti-Hindu sentiments. Pointing to Rahul Gandhi’s decision to skip a planned visit to a Hanuman temple in Gaya in Bihar during his yatra as evidence, he claimed that Congress has long worked against the interests of the Hindu majority. According to Subhash, the public was increasingly aware of what he described as Congress’s covert damage to the majority’s interests over decades of rule.

He alleged that Congress leaders had little patience for electoral defeat and would resort to blaming the Modi government and the electronic voting machines (EVMs) for their loss through slogans like ‘vote chori’. Questioning Congress’s stance in states where it held power, Subhash asserted that the party’s actions threaten the very foundation of democracy.
