Collectors Take Stock Of Flood Situation In Mancherial

ADILABAD: With River Godavari rising in Mancherial, the district officials took swift action to ensure public safety. On Saturday, collector Kumar Deepak, along with other officials, inspected the flood-affected areas, including NTR Nagar Colony, Mother and Child Healthcare Centre and Ramnagar in the town. People from low-lying areas and riverbanks were relocated to safer locations.

Meanwhile, in Nirmal district, collector Abhilasha Abhinav visited Bidrelli village in Basar mandal, where standing crops were submerged. She assessed the damage and directed for clearance of floodwaters at the Basar temple to prevent inconvenience to devotees. Picketing was set up in flood-prone areas to prevent people from entering the river.
Authorities are monitoring the flood situation closely and are urging people to remain alert.
