CMC HQ Planned At Khanamet
The proposed Net Zero Energy Green Building campus will be developed on about 4 acres and 6.6 guntas.
HYDERABAD: To strengthen administrative and civic operations, a permanent headquarters campus for the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has been proposed at Khanamet village in Serilingampally, adjacent to Mundikunta Lake.
The proposed Net Zero Energy Green Building campus will be developed on about 4 acres and 6.6 guntas. It will feature a G+8 administrative building with a built-up area of more than 2 lakh sq ft and provision for future expansion up to G+12 floors. The campus will include modern office spaces, parking facilities, internal roads, landscaping, fire-safety systems and a pedestrian foot-over bridge.
The CMC is also executing several major infrastructure projects. At IIIT Junction, a grade separator project worth ₹459 crore is under way. The project includes a double-decker flyover designed to maximise the available right-of-way, reduce land acquisition needs and improve traffic flow along the corridor.
At Khajaguda junction, grade separator and underpass works are being taken up at a cost of ₹220 crore. The project aims to ease congestion at the busy intersection linking Khajaguda, Shaikpet, Nanakramguda and Gachibowli.
Meanwhile, grade separator works at Kukatpally Y Junction and IDL Lake Junction are intended to address chronic traffic bottlenecks. The proposal includes three-lane flyovers, road widening and dedicated at-grade carriageways to enhance road capacity and meet future traffic demand.
